What kind of food/drink do you have?
All of the food and beverages at our café are vegan. The founder of The Purrfect Bean is extremely committed to animal welfare and is vegan herself! The values of both the founder and the café strongly align – the space was created with the intention of promoting animal welfare in ALL aspects, including every product available for consumption being fully vegan.

What if I just want a coffee or snack?
Our downstairs café is completely separate from the upstairs Cat Lounge. Anyone can come into the café without reservations!

Why do I have to pay to spend time with the cats?
The entry fee at a cat cafe supports the care and well-being of the cats, as well as the overall operation of the space.
Cat cafes are unique environments that prioritize both animal welfare and guest experience. The fee helps cover essential costs such as food, litter, staff wages, and facility maintenance. Unlike a traditional cafe, there is an added responsibility to ensure that the cats are healthy, comfortable, and well-socialized. -
Are reservations for the cat lounge necessary?
Reservations are highly recommended. It is the only way to guarantee that we will have a spot for you when you get here! Walk-ins are subject to availability. Each reservation is per person. If you cancel your reservation 48 hours in advance and require a refund, please email the thepurrfectbean@gmail.com.

How old do you have to be to hang out in the Cat Lounge?
Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the cat lounge. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

How many people can be in the Cat Lounge at one time?
A maximum of 10 people are allowed in the cat lounge at one time. This is due to the size of the room and also not to overwhelm the cats.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least 48 hours in advance. If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours before your appointment time, your reservation fee will be forfeited. For refunds, please email thepurrfectbean@gmail.com

What is the adoption process?
All cats and kittens are adopted through Purring Hearts VA. You can visit their website to fill out an adoption application.

Can I buy a gift card?
Yes! However, it is important to note that there are two types of gift cards available. You can buy physical gift cards in store that are only redeemable at the cafe portion for food and drinks. You can also buy digital gift cards on our website that are specifically for cat lounge visits. The two are not interchangeable due to different point of sales systems.

Is the Cat Lounge wheelchair accessible?
While our café is ADA compliant, unfortunately, our Cat Lounge is not wheelchair accessible.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We are a cashless cafe! We accept all debit and credit cards, Apple and Google pay.

Are reservations per person?
Yes, each reservation is per person. Each person in your party will need their own reservation. When checking out, you can change the number in the quantity box to reflect the number of people in your party. If you cancel your reservation 48 hours in advance and require a refund, please email the purrfectbean@gmail.com and we will issue one.
